What is it?

It is a service that allows you to effectively have a presence in China. We represent you on the ground here, and we can take any action that you ask of us on your behalf. For example when you contact us you might want us to:

• Visit a factory to investigate it as a potential supplier for you

• Visit your suppliers to clarify and issues that you have

• Inspect your manufactured goods before they are shipped

However, there is always the unexpected when dealing with manufacturing: the laws of physics just do their own thing.

 

These issues can present themselves just as manufacturing commences, and when delays can be very costly.

 

In times like these people can get stressed because they can tell that something is going wrong, but they don’t quite know what it is.  Sometimes it can just be very hard to properly explain what is happening when they is a large time difference, a large distance between everyone and a large language barrier. People can feel compelled to fly to China, and confront the manufacturer to see what is happening with their own eyes.

 

This can cost a lot of money and a lot of time, which can mean even more money. Not only that, but when people are stressed they can upset others. In a short time the relationship between you and your manufacturer can be strained and maybe even permanently damaged. This might be a relationship that you have worked hard on building. And it might be gone. Simply because of a technical detail that could not be fully explained. It seems extreme, but we have seen it happen. In times like these people can get incredibly stressed, and do things that they would not ordinarily do.

 

But it does not need to be like this. In fact, these situations can be an ideal time to solidify your relationship with you supplier by working with them to overcome these problems.

You start to get worrying communications from your manufacturer about some issues with you product. You think you know what they are talking about, but you are not quite sure. They have asked you which of three options, which they have put to you, you would like to take. But because you don’t fully understand the situation, you can’t decide which option is best or even if those are the three best options.

You simply call your people in China and tell them what you know. They go and speak with the manufacturer and then report back to you with photos and video as necessary. The answer to the issue might now be obvious or you may now know enough to confidently work out a solution with the supplier. In either case, you know that your product will be made and delivered as specified.
